My name is Jens Larsen, Danish Jazz Guitarist, and Educator. The videos on this channel will help you explore and enjoy Jazz. Some of it is how to play jazz guitar, but other videos are more on Music Theory like Jazz Chords or advice on practicing and learning Jazz, on guitar or any other instrument.

The videos are mostly jazz guitar lessons, music theory, song analysis, and videos on jazz guitars.

Thanks so much, Jens! I think I got the most out of those rhythms between the root and the other notes in the chord. Stuff I can use right away to spice things up!

Cant believe I'm seeing a John Squire shoutout in a Jens video. I listened to Second Coming endlessly in high school :)

I love your creative editing, man. Cracks me up every time, because your laid back style and attitude actually makes it a bigger surprise! Your videos are a kind of jazz in and of themselves in that way. Swingy, soft, yet surprising at the same time.

Really appreciate your work. Been online looking up music stuff for a couple decades. You're one of the best out there.

Great as always Jens. For me be able to play (essentially) the same chord in the same position on different string sets has been important, as has being able to move the same chord up and down the neck.

Rather than playing small group jazz, I've ended up as the guitarist in two big bands. I'd love to hear if you have any experiences or tips that would help those of us doing this. Rootless voicings are de rigeur, of course.

I'm a sucker for those yngwie quotes that unleash the F'n fury.
