I bought my Kershaw Ferrite because it was on sale and I had no knife on me..
One of the rare times that being a knucklehead worked out in my favor.
Will take on edge and give you plenty of practice along the way.

“Chill tactical” I love it. My brother in law got me this knife. I had been looking for a gentleman’s folder and it fits the bill. I probably wouldn’t have chosen this one just because of how aggressive it looks, but I actually really like it. Another vid described it as a tactical gentleman’s knife which is kind of ridiculous but I also totally agree with that description. Like you mention, the speedsafe is always good to go. This knife is wicked sharp and pointy and it really flies open.

Not sure why you didn't just baton those boxes down to size.

Now I know how to properly ship knives. I need to go buy a Ferrite first though. I do actually like how the put a filler tab where the ambi-pivot would go. Makes it look a lot cleaner.

The blade profile geometry is called a Harpoon, yo.
(please take note of my tricky use of both "profile" and "geometry". that is because I have moved past 'advanced' into 'guru'.)

I have been eyeing this knife for some time now but living in NY (assisted opening knifes are illegal) I don't know if I want to spend the $54 asking price for something that (most likely never will but) could get me in trouble. I cant have it shipped to me at a cheaper price online on Amazon...wont ship to NY, but I can buy it at Gander Go figure! I have several knives that fall into this category but non at this price range.

It’s a nice knife for $100. Compared to some that are $200. It’s really fast opening and it’s got nice tolerance

Is there a center deviation when closing?

At the beginning of your review I thought you were going to treat us to a comparison box cutting between a ferrite and a ferret. That would have been cool, dangerous and entertaining, but cool.

It's a wonderful knife, pissed that they discontinued it.

Thoroughly enjoy the reviews! Any plans for reviewing an ESEE in the future?

I'm glad I'm not the only person in fear of removing my fingerprints deploying some of these knives.

How does it compare, say, vs a SNM 7089 ?

I would IMO call that blade shape Harpoon before spear, it's not symmetrical... But then again, that sage is still "Leaf" shape IMO too despite the summitry. Mind=Blown

Oh yeah. I’m going to open a web store called Chill Tactical. It’ll be full of cheap Amazon survival crap re-branded with my own logo and up-priced by 50%. Except, instead of everything being in tacti-cool black, it’ll be in gray for the Gray Man. Only we won’t call it “gray”. It’ll be “ferrite”. Next-level douchebaggery. I’m gonna be rich, man.
