Died to Gargabol in Season 6 of GL, lvl 100 purifier caster. I did beat Kraval before 90th lvl in ultimate with that character though. I've died to Morgoneth with a Replicating missile arcanist. Died to Ramzul with a Calidor full set arcanist. I don't mess with celestials most of the time.

I still think Mogdrogen gets another buff at 25% when he has a lightning belt around his waist. Killed him many times over to see it and maybe CD reduction aswell. Which is not a part of Grimtools description. Never used defensive potions though. Deep SR version of Gargabol that has explosive maggots is way harder then any of Ultrabosses for retaliation tank. Gargabol stacks three different sources of physical resistance in his second form, that is bad for a melee.
Regarding HC pet summoner. I build my chars to be tanky so HC and SC builds are the same. So far after they nefred retaliation so many times over, summoners are universal solution. Ultrabosses were easy, a Ravager runs were 14-15 mins at average, Mad Queen under 16 seconds. SR Moosilauke would be a serious problem with freezing starting off SR85+ and maybe Fabius if low on pierce resist. Anyway i got overcapped physical resistance for hero and pets, up to 6k/s regeneration (1.1.9.1), not a retaliation tank but as close as it gets. All of the things outside SR i don't even feel are doing any threat they can't kill briarthorns and hound, even Callagadra. No need to order pets back. Idk about Crate, i have to force mytself into that stupid questline. Crucible was okay, 21.6M score on first attempt, very safe, no HP potions needed.

I accidentally fought ravager not paying attention to who it was lol I had no special potions. Every enemy was melted before that guy (norm difficulty veteran, lvl 86)
