Yakuza 0 - OutRun (5 Million Points)

I struggled with this in the Japanese version. I'm surprised I got the 5 million points in my first go. I got lucky at 1:50, should have been a crash.

Easier using R2 (accelerate) and L2 (brake). Also start in high gear. It does take a while to get the points.

I learned in Yakuza 0. No matter how much you hate a minigame, there's always another minigame in there ready to screw you over for another couple hours

Here in 2024, and yes. The minigames still make you seethe like a fucking bull upon seeing a toreador's red cape.

I hate it when cars (and trucks) cover all lanes.

If anyone having hard time, try going left lane first, right lane and then left lane. You will score 5 million. It helped me. Also try not to get hit by car and be careful around sharp turns.

This is a killer. I did the Electronics King challenge (I was only going to try once and if I lost I'd make up the difference the long way) and did real well but dropped the ball at last moment and ended up with 4.8 mil. The kid's not a smug asshole like the grown-ups are. Surprisingly so... so no grudges from me.

I had made friends with Luka while practising for the EK challenge and decided to continue her story.

Got to her final challenge of beating 3mil. End up getting 5.5mil EASILY!! (To rub salt in the wound for some bizarre reason they make these challenges "off the record" so I can't even benefit from a Completion Point!! Grrr!!)

This is without a doubt one of the most stressful parts of the real estate I've ever had to do words cannot express how livid this game makes me i don't care if its a true arcade game second one way better. Only tip i can give is that cars become non existent when you pass them so dont be afraid to drift next to them if you happen to make a turn

Edit: I did it but it still doesnt change my opinion on this

what I learned is that you shouldn't be too afraid of downshifting, especially around sharp corners or when a narrow road is blocked by traffic, it's worth losing a little time if you can avoid crashing. (for example, 2:56 would have been a good time to downshift)

one thing i noticed is that it's better to start off in low gear as it takes less time to charge and then once you hit its peak, switch into high gear

Edit: Finally made it through with a whopping 6.400.710 points if I'm not wrong, the trick is to use your brakes but just light tapping, and taking the left path, then the right one, then the left one again, took me about 8 tries, but I finally made it, good luck, I believe in you, racing strangers

Man that game was hard as hell, but I managed to pull off that task and beat the Electronics king there on my 4th attempt! Let me tell you, that was the attempt where I started to utilize the brakes, and holy crap, they helped a TON! Same with taking the right paths on the crossroads.
