That's why down south anytime someone starts crying we always say stop with those crocodile tears cause they're only crying cause they got caught lying or doing something bad but hide behind tears because they want you to feel sorry for them but in truth they don't regret what they did.

That’s dope. Really cool to finally know the meaning. I always assumed it meant fake tears because crocodiles are emotionless reptiles who feel nothing, no pain, no remorse, and will tear you apart in the most brutal ways possible whenever they get the chance… and that still makes complete sense to me, even though this meaning is also super rad.
