Almost all Armenians speak Russian as do all citizens of ex-Soviet republics. So, it would be better to learn Russian rather than Armenian. I visited Armenia twice in 2015 and considered retiring to the country. However, the situation with the Russian and Ukrainian refugees and the reoccurring wars with Azerbjian have dissuaded me. I now plan on retiring to Argentina which I visited for two weeks in March 2023.
