Hello, the next event is upon us and it is a vehicle I have been waiting for for a while, the IAR-93B. This should be a fun multi role vehicle to run in Italian line ups.

This really seems to be incomplete.

The A-91 is a Romanian clone of the R-3S (which is of course the Soviet clone of the AIM-9B). I'm pretty sure that this should also get the R-60 and the A-921 (Romanian Kh-23). I think it's also supposed to be able to carry 2 AAMs on each pylon (for a maximum of 8).

Wish they added J-22 since it's made parallel to the IAR-93 (with YUROM project). But Yugoslavia continued to modify J-22, they added radar, they made it able to reach above Mach 1 (without it get obliterated in the process), it was able to use AGM-65 Maverick missile, British cassette bombs, French bombs, USSR missiles and bunker bombs. It used Yugoslavia made radio controlled missiles. Air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles and TV guided missiles. It also was able to carry napalm and AM-500 sea mines. It had a navy variant which had sensors for sea operations. It used fire and forget rockets, rocket pods and guided rockets (as mentioned earlier). It had countermeasures and missile lock warning. Fun fact a lot of computers and other systems were made in Yugoslavia and not licensed versions. Only armament and engines were used from abroad. That's why Yugoslavia started making a new aircraft that even had domestic made engines and armament (but since country started to collapse project was abandoned).

The IAR-93B´s standard set consisted of max 4x air to air missiles of A-91 variety which are romanian production R-3 missiles. Only select few IAR-9B´s were capable of 8x missile loadouts on double pylons. R-60s were not used on IAR-93.
Now the mavericks were NEVER used on IAR-93B´s nor was there any modification or such for wiring to use them, not a single reliable source states it could. Only wikipedia but the sources used for that do not mention anything about weaponry selection, letalone mavericks.
INFACT: mavericks were bought long long after IAR-93´s were retired, they came with the F-16s Romania bought in 2013. While IAR-93´s were retired in late 90s.

Yeah... as a romanian i feel so fucking disapointed. They had so many options, maybe a LancerR variant of the mig21, yes i know another mig, but atleast something for us Romanians. We don't even have the modern Romanian Decal.

So I get less pylons compared to the G.91 YS but instead we get a RWR and get 2 more missiles.

Seems rough and I say this as someone who used the 91 Y to do most of my rank VI grinding

From what I see online the A-91 is a Romanian R-13M and not an R-3S. If that's true than the BR will be justified. Lack of guided munitions is a bit sad because Italy could use those at this BR range.

It should be 9.0 with this loadout. I figured it would be fine at 9.7 if it gets some of the better missiles and features like the swiss hunter but this is just ridiculous

Even though Romania is my fav nation, and would love to see full sub tree of them at some point, i kinda wish gaijin would focus on adding a more full hungarian aircraft tree, and at least a few more hungarian ground vehicles before they work on Romania. And even though i dont play naval, i think Italy would benefit best from romania if they add their coastal ships first
