I can't believe Snax is still pro, he was my favourite player when I first got into CS a decade ago. His legendary sneaky beaky like play is forever engraved into my memory as what I aspired to be in CS.

it was probably zontix aiming low as usual 😭

My bit of analysis on G2's T side.

Snax's mid round calling, as well as his read of his opponent was put on full display during their T-Side on mirage. He understands that Spirit play an aggressive mid stance, with their default being Donkinator9000 playing anti-flash/watching underpass, Zontix playing short side watching his mid cross and Shiro on fast rotate to snipers or sight of top con, with slight variations of Donk playing from top con-bottom con. You highlighted at 4:24 how they are super prepared for the Donk swing into lowers off a teammates flash which really emphasizes the read that G2 have on Spirit's mid hold.

A few examples are shown in this video on the default call that G2 have to start the round, with it being Snax taking info/early aggression towards middle, and Niko lurking behind it whilst the others default towards the strat site. In that round at 4:24 Niko plays off the lurk smoke created by the molly extinguish as well as the CT smoke towards top middle. Now in this round, its clear that a B default was called at the start of the round. Snax puts pressure on mid, gets info, niko lurks, rest default B. Niko gets a great timing on Donk which prompts the team out of underpass and pressure to mid. Snax's mid round calling is shown here, where he calls pressure onto the snipers player (which fell off the position). They know that Zontix fell back onto short, which puts at least 1 player onto B, and can assume that the B anchor of Magixx would still be there as well. This gives G2 a great advantage on map control.
The round plays out, they find Zontix playing from short still which confirms Snax made the right call to redirect to an A push the round plays out and its a close round. In my opinion, all of the correct calls were made there.

Another great example of Snax's great calling is in the round at 9:40. Another B default, Snax takes mid agro/pressure, gets the info, falls (expected) - Donk is up mid, Zontix is short, chopper flashed from A - all confirmed. Niko has an exceptional individual performance knowing the timings for his mid lurk (same timing on the lurk every round, same clear on the lurk every round) and catches Donk as hes jumping up (I assume what he was expecting as he got the kill). Back to a 4v4. Hunter slips past Shiro, gets the kill on the short player, traded by Shiro. Now they can confirm that Shiro is playing from A in a very aggressive position towards connector. Snax's mid round call I really like here. As you highlighted, Spirit play a very passive A site. This is read by Snax, as he calls for the team to pivot towards A off the B default (which was correct in the prior round in the previous paragraph). He knows its very likely they are playing a stacked B site, with a more passive A hold. They confirm this as you mention by the lack of jump spot from van, so they pressure the last known position of the awper with numbers and the round plays out as it does.

I really liked the calling from Snax and I look forward to seeing how the future turns out.

Basically it all comes to whoever can aim lower and hit those toenail shots

Why did’t you compare the other 9 players to Zont1x and sees who aims This channel fell off

Malbs is so good dude. His mechanics are outstanding.

Told you so. If Snax keeps this up, the whole community owes him a BIG OLE apology.

i was probably one of two people who thought snax was a good move, i’m struggling as a virtus plow lover and a g2 hater

I’ve been liking the late round calling out of the new G2 a LOT. imo that was one of the distinguishing factors at Dallas that hooxi’s calling never really had down

All I gotta say is: Malbs is the real deal. I thought it was a good signing already, but man, especially on the last map, he was clean as an anchor. Such a good player, such a good pick-up, totally deserved, imo.

The reason why I think M0nesy is better than Donk is because M0nesy has a ability to stay calm. If you catch Donk off timing few times or something else makes him mad, he plays like garbage. If something like that happens to M0nesy, he often calms down very fast and resets in the next round. If Donk could get hold of his nervs I would gladly put him above M0nesy. Both players play different role so you can't really compare everything the same, but objectively if you put these players in some number of "test" situations I think M0nesy wins more of them. Sometimes brain>aim. I would like to see a video with your opinion on M0nesy vs Donk 😁

Malbs played really well! I'm sure he can become a top 5 player this year. lots of potential, he should start aiming as low as zont1x to grow his skillset

when i saw this roster be completed, as a pole i was proud, but at the same time sad for hooxi, but then with the firepower they have i thought they would be either a superteam or a miserable fail and so far the team's not proven yet, but not all teams have 3 headshot machines like malbs, niko, monesy + 2 very good headshoters still snax and hunter, setup the strats well and everything will be perfect with this roster, a superteam, the synergy with snax being an igl and taz the coach is also masterclass, definitely more synergy there and understanding, so if this plays out well in the long run, then this will be crazy

12:22 I like the commentary on the donk anti flash at A ramp a lot! I would appreciate if you keep adding those caveats!

you should have seen the ancient game. you really notice there how organised and well thought they exac and take and fake the spots. and finally g2 stopped rushing into things but rather take their time to organize. glad to see, finally
