On this episode of WisconsinEye's Rewind: Your Week in Review, Emilee and JR discuss how a group of Republican lawmakers introduced legislation that would abolish the Wisconsin Elections Commission and transfer duties to the secretary of state. The bill also gives oversight of how elections are run to the GOP-controlled Legislature. The proposal by Sen. Dan Knodl (R-Germantown), and 10 Assembly Republicans, is the latest move seeking to overhaul election administration ahead of the 2024 presidential election in a very divided state.

No need to disband the WEC completely, just find new and fair- minded, trustworthy people. Walker had good intentions, but as usual, if there is a potential to abuse a situation there will be those who do it. And the current occupants of the WEC are definitely abusing their positions!
