Kazakhstan 4K - Largest country in Central Asia

This is western Kazakhstan, & this is why you need to travel here! We started the day heading east from Aktau, in deeper in to Mangystau region (Мангыстау) towards the Ustyurt Plateau, visiting some of the area's most incredible natural wonders, Kyzylkup (Кызылкуп) & Bozzhira (Бозжыра). Due to its location in the fast south west of Kazakhstan, this region is one of the least visited in the country. But Mangystau is home to some Kazakhstans most amazing sights, and travel to this region is so rewarding! Join us as we we explore stunning western Kazakhstan! 🇰🇿

After heading out to see the barren deserts, sand dunes, Mosques and more - our travels through the Almaty region in Kazakhstan continues.

And like that a day later we leave flat lands to go and explore beautiful mountains and lakes covered in pine trees - this country is honestly so diverse.

First stop we headed out to Moon Canyon which is known as the Grand Canyon of Central Asia. After lunch at a locals house in Saty we started our journey out to see the lakes...but not using any car - an old Soviet style jeep.

We were blown away at the beauty of Kaindy Lake and its interesting story of having petrified dead trees in it's turquoise waters.
