I think once SpaceX gets permission to launch Starship again, then things will develop really quickly. It is just a matter of time. Also in 100 years, nobody will care if we land on the moon in 2026 or maybe 2031. The fact that development is happening is really important. Also landing on the moon and Mars colonies is really just the beginning of a much bigger future.

Stretching is easy, but it doesnt get you into learning about design and construction required for
Starship 2.0___
I'd suggest at least a slight diameter increase, So the hard stuff gets learned first. Then stretch once you get each upsize worked out. Stretching Starship 1 is almost redundant, will be obsolete before FAA clears it.

Why haven’t we heard about Raptor 3 engines. That would be the most significant change as it’s quite a bit stronger, and then that gets multiplied X 42! That would literally be, “earth shaking, !”

increasing the length of the 9 engine Starships Propulsoin tanks is not the only thing that needs to be stretched... the original cargo compartment length was designed for 100 tons Years ago.. Now able to lift 230 tons of cargo, the length of the Cargo compartment is also going to need lengthening to handle the extra vallum for the additional Cargo...

Imagine Starship Ultra Heavy with multiple boosters tied together and a hundred or more raptor engines... Starship Giga Heavy with three hundred raptors...

Starship is getting to be, one big potential mother of a firework.
If engines fail once again and with extra potential energy (matter in motion) on board. Lets hope they are a bit better informed with the number crunching, as to the effects this time around. Otherwise those opposed to it will have a field day having it grounded and for quite some time.

Vehicles for cis-lunar - and interplanetary space could be smaller. They require a minimum of refilling manoeuvres. The procedure has yet to be developed.

We’re unable to imagine the change Starship will make in our lives. We also can’t imagine all variants, of Starship Elon Musk is going to make, and then he’s going to optimize each type for various tasks.
This is happening, folks! Soon their going to get it, that we need great radio communication and high speed internet, and 1G gravity to exist in space.
People are not going to be out of touch for five years, and then return to earth like Rumplestiltskin, completely unaware of the world and their family as they know it. They will want the internet.
Their not going to stand by and watch rovers fry because there’s an at times, twenty minute signal delay from earth.
And, last but bot least, space travel should not be a death sentence, which right now a three year tour practically is. We evolved in gravity, and our bones and organ don’t work well without it.
