2D Animated Walking Cycle

In this video I work on creating a walking cycle for one of my characters. There will eventually be two guys walking through this scene but I wanted to share the process of creating one with you.
This is one of many shots that will go into my upcoming short film.

PRO TIP - In After FX, instead of making a comp with tons of layers of the looping walk, simply right click on the imported animation file and click on "Interpret Footage" and select "Main", or hotkey = Ctrl Alt G
Then at the bottom of that pop up window, under "Other Options" simply change the Loop to as many times as you need!
Boom, looping footage forever!

the fake 3d on the ground is genius. seems like it wouldn't been too much work to push the rear mountains back in space too if you could separate them easily enough. beautiful work, really nice walk cycle

You have no idea how much you saved me I had the same problem with a character I animate but thanks to this thing of advance composting setting I make my previous 2 steps 24 fps character to 12 fps and thanks to this setting it works perfectly in my final 24 fps composition thanks my friend you are an angel 😇
