Olight H2R Headlamp - TheSmokinApe

The flashlights shown in this video were provided to me free of charge ,from Olight in exchange for a video review.

The H2R Nova is Olights first 18650 battery headlamp/pocketlight with a groundbreaking 2300 ANSI rated lumens. The highly efficient CREE XHP50 LED in combination with our signature TIR bead lens delivers a perfectly balanced and even beam for maximum usable light when you need it.

Awesome review! Enjoy the details and thoroughness. I still have not purchased an Olight product. Maybe this upcoming sale will tempt me.

Just got mine a couple days ago. I've actually got the Wowtac A2/A2 S coming up first, which is similar.

At 0:06, was it the beer that caused you to call this flashlight an H R ONE? 😳
Even Olight's H1R isn't called the HR1. 🙄

Wow! Turbo should be renamed to "Sunny" or "Day Light". I like the 90 and the convertibility of this light. i do have concern about the charging method tho. the concept is cool but metal objects closing the circuit is not. Also wouldnt rain (water period) close the circuit as well? Im unfamiliar with this style of charging mechanism but it would seem to be vulnerable to water.
Im partial to ThruNite but do have an Olight M1X Striker that is awesome. Its turbo of 1, 000 lumen generates alot of heat! Works flawlessly so far.
I do like the lamp in your review but may wait and watch for a bit to see if issues arise in the charging mechanism. Also, 'custom' to me means difficult to replace in a pinch (the battery).
Read the comments below. Fan cooled?! Really? wow. whats next? A hover light and voice commands? :)
Side note. i have an emergency radio, wind up/solar charge. The Olight Striker on turbo held about 4 inches from the solar panel actually began to charge the radio. Inefficient and unnecessary but was curious what would happen.
Great vid as always. Carry on.
