Totally agree, Mayasia is a great budget destination. We did manage to add Langkawi too in <50k but that was in 2017. Its simply stunning.

Note that AirAsia and Malaysian airlines prices are kind of a scam, their price does not include check-in luggage which has to be purchased separately starting at around 8k for a round trip which increases the cost significantly. I would suggest going with Batik Air which is cheap and includes both cabin and check-in luggage but the only con here is the meals are not included.
