Great video. This is very useful for new users. The 878 plus is my first ham radio. It would be very difficult for a new user to just figure out how to use this radio without guidance such as the videos you provide.

I did not see a QSO being made in this video, as stated at the end. And the radio came with a flyer which said to watch a different video first, where I was told to install the CPS software as the current user, not the admin, as instructed here. I think this is a better first video to watch.

A good portion of the second gentleman's video assumes we have an old version of the firmware. What if we have the current version already on our 878 UVII Plus? Are there portions of the downloadable software we still need?

In my experience, analogue reception is poor (compared to CRT 4CF V2 and even to Baofeng GT-3TP, using the original antennas)! Moreover, it is very annoying that the lowest volume is still too high, and that changing the volume level interrupts the audio. Can't speak about digital capabilities, though - but I will send it back.

mainly a squelch problem (too insensitive, blocking weak, but well readable signals!)
