Simple PING commands

Показать описание
Easy to follow examples to use PING to test your network connections to the internet, DNS, and your local area network.

The PING command is a software tool. It is inherently part of the Windows Operating system. It is accessed by opening the Command prompt in Windows (aka; CMD or DOS window).

Once inside the CMD prompt window, you can isssue the PING command in association with domain names, Internet IP addresses, or even local area network addresses.

While the use of PING is a "networking 101" type of concept, even the most advanced Networking professionals use it on a regular basis.

if you type "-t" after the (for example) "ping 8.8.8.8" it will ping the address indefinitely - to stop it you have to press [Ctrl]+[C]
