I had this same exact problem. In fact, I have an I527 variant. The way you fix it is to buy an OEM(Samsung branded) screen. Don't cheap out on the screen guys, you will just end up wasting money on buying a new one. Trust me. My phone is in perfect working order again after I feared it was bricked forever :D good luck

Mine is stuck in bootloop with no sd options, I can get into Philz but it comes up with error ... cannot mount sdexternal1, also, computer will not recognize internal HDD either ... any solution?

hey i cant get philz touch cause the site down but aswell i flashed twrp on my mega and wont boot in recovery its like its stuck in boot loop but when i flash it back to stock m819n it still boot in recovery or boot up at all any suggestions

Worked with v17 :) Touch screen works again! You mentioned on the video that from now on any custom rom based on kitkat will work. Any suggestions? Some other users have mentioned that they flashed a KK rom and lost touch screen again.

Hello Android guy, I rooted my SGH-I527 and deleted a or multiple system files and it will no longer download anything. Is there anything I can do to repair it? I was hoping to just flash a completely new ROM to it but that seems to be the "Holy Grail"  issue with the I527s. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

to all the people using this method you don't need twrp its a recovery but so philz he said to download it but its not required so just skip those steps and if you search you can find all the other files
