President Lincoln's letter continues to resonate to this day. Those that stood fast against insurrection in the field and the legislators that not only stepped up, but forward have sacrificed themselves on the alter of freedom. They are heroes.

I know it is lighter well. Every time I hear it, the hair on my body stand. Our once great country is now falling apart at the seams

This is an honest question. I thought I heard this letter was inaccurate. Mrs.Bixby didn't lose five sons, nor was she a Lincoln supporter. Does anyone know about this?
