This video doesn't make sense. First, the title says 'Top 10 NEW ZEALAND COINS' but there are only 5 coins listed in the video. Second, the title, again, has a mistake where it says 'MOST VALUABLE COINS IN YOUR POCKET CHANGE' but these New Zealand pre-decimal coins were demonetised a while ago. Third, all the pricing is in AUD and then converted to USD when it would make sense to have it be from NZD converted to USD, even if it means doing more research, it would make the video more helpful and make more sense. Fourth, the video says that after World War II, the New Zealand Pound was reduced in value to about equal value as the Australian Dollar, but this currency wasn't created until 1966. Lastly, the 1956 no shoulder strap threepence was stated to be made of silver in the video but the actual 1956 coin was struck on cupro-nickel planchets. In fact, all New Zealand pre-decimal circulating coins (excluding halfpennies and pennies) were minted using cupro-nickel since 1947.

I take the George Crown was a proof issue for collectors (anyone)? Did you like SA issue crowns for circulation? The UK did not. I have the rocking horse UK crown, easy enough to come by, also by Percy Metcalf. Percy Metcalf also designed the pre-decimal 1928-1969 Irish series and many of his designs carried onto the Irish decimal series, known as the barn house series. Well worth a look at.
