A Big House On A Small 1,800 sq.ft Plot in Bengaluru (Home Tour).

Built on a small plot, Brick Little House creatively uses the available space to create a home that is refreshingly unique. With a focus on fostering a harmonious connection between the living spaces and the garden at the back, the remaining spaces are all seamlessly tucked out of the way, opening up the plan strategically. The design incorporates split levels on the upper floors to reduce the overall volume of the building.

The garden, which occupies one-fourth of the plot, provides a serene oasis, complemented by the eucalyptus plantation that forms the backdrop of the plot. Tying it together is the facade, which showcases a playful brick screen, interiors, which continue to feature exposed brick, and leather-finished Kota stone.

The table-moulded brick facade, the efficient planning of the spaces, the interconnectivity of the rooms and the landscape, and the mutually overlooking levels are highlights worth a second look at.
In the walkthrough of the home, the architect unravels the philosophy behind the contemporary and rustic design elements, the making of the warm and serene atmosphere in the spaces and the intelligent distribution of spaces for achieving a voluminously light mass.

finally an expensive indian house that is not too shiny like a showroom and rather warm-cozy-livable. Loved it ❤

One of the best houses I've seen. Beautifully used the space to create openness.

This is actually a sustainable house in terms of the space utilization, many architects struggle to fit in classy house on a small plot, appreciate the efforts to fit in this kind of house in 30x60 plot size, astounding! Cheers!

If you ever been an student at IIMA, those red bricks & grey floor titles evokes so many nostalgic emotions in you. It would be a blessing for any alumni to live in such a same college themed home.

This house will constantly remind us of our roots, & keep us up on the toes to match the grit and hardwork that we put up back in our campus day.

Loved this video immensely, love for the red bricks & the hole in the wall..! 👏🏻❤️

Optimum utilization of 60' × 30' plot size is really noteworthy! Hatt's off to the efforts! Keep it up!

I had called this architect office. They told they accept only projects more than 3000 sqft. You should prove your talent in small size plots just like what you have done here.

The success of this project is due to the fact that it doesn't look like a small plot. Looks airy and spacious, very clever design incorporating the copious light and greenery from the surrounding eucalyptus plantation. Love the furniture, colour schemes and the styling of the house. Super classy, minimalistic and chic at the same time. The brick cladding on the highlight wall along with the solid wooden furniture is a quintessential match made in heaven. Very smart architect and very lucky owners. Wishing them all happiness in this lovely abode.
What would be the all inclusive cost ( land + design+ build+ furniture) is it doable within 2 crores or am I being too unrealistic 😂

Scientific problem. Such a big eucalyptus plantation will dry out a massive chunk of region near them. Eucalyptus sucks the water out of the ground like it's nothing. Not only the people living in this area will have to deal with lack of ground water issues but also issues of soil nutrient breakdown and ground weakening. Hard Remedy: Remove these eucalyptus trees(sad part) and replace them with other trees that can provide better environmental control and water retention within the soil. Short term remedies will resolve long term devastating issues. Other than that the house looks good but it is in no way "small" for most of us folks.

House beautifully done no doubts the concern is how many more years the eucalyptus plantation would be present and what's about safety with only glass doors behind

I observed most of the house designs you post have a lot of stairs, not good for old people. If the owner's parents visit they will be troubled by moving up down for bedroom, kitchen, garden all day.

Lovely space… that’s a really comfortable house to live in. I don’t understand other comments about utilising every inch for build up, there are people who enjoy art and aesthetics and not planning for rental accommodation or PG.

The interiors look fab👌, elegant n minimal. Ample of natural light coming in and use of budget material enhances it's simplicity. My only doubt is that the complete glass frame on the ground floor, doesn't it compromises with security n privacy??

Great design for Europe, where safety and heat is not an issue.

BTW, how would you keep the glass clean in the upper part.?
