Professor Leonard and his YouTube channel are amazing. Before watching these videos I was a terrible failure at mathematics and I struggled in college, even with basic courses. But now, it's still difficult but it's so much more manageable, I feel like with time I will get through this. It's gone from impossible to very doable. Thank you, Mr. Leonard.

The way I learned to remember which symbol is "greater than" and which symbol is "less than" is that the side that has two points is the greater quantity. So x < y means that y is more than x because you are "giving" y more points on the side of the symbol than you are x.

Interesting, my teacher always did it different with the Brackets having the brackets like this 3[ would mean that 3 is not included, but any number smaller than it and having it like 3] would mean it is included.
