I heard from some video that you should use rec.709A with mac? There was a issue that in rendering the colors go back to poop if it is not rec709A.

As a new YouTuber, using Davinci resolve 18, I find this video really useful and I would definitely recommend this video to other small creators. This is one of the most useful and informative videos I’ve ever seen in a long time. ❤️

Thanks for sharing. I’ve been using this workflow for a long time and has saved me so much time. A few things to add, you can save that workflow so every time you open a new project, davinci wide color gamete will be ready.

Also regarding nodes, a simple 4 node setup will help you add the final touches for color correction. First node balance, 2nd temp and saturation, 3rd contrast and 4th levels.

Boom. Now you’re grading like a pro

I second using Rec 709-A for Mac. When I output with any other color space on my mac, the colors in QT/Youtube don't match my editing timeline.

Great video, Thanks! Unfortunately when I go to select all clips, to change colour space to Rec709 (6:29) the option for 'input colour space' isn't there 👀 Please help?!

Thanks for this clear and to the point explanation. I'm not using "professional" cameras for my needs but just and iPhone with the MoviePro app that allows me to manually adjust "temperature" and "tint" as well as exposure, if I chose to do so. However I don't know what's the proper "input color space" for smartphones or particularly iPhones ?

Thank you for the help. I just downloaded DaVinci Resolve for the first time today and was very confused. I usually use FCP but just shot a music video with the Red V-Raptor XL and I can't edit in FCP. Now I'm learning a whole new program. Boo! But thank you!

WOW, i chose the automatic way you described and it worked amazingly. A nice color went across the whole film. I will leave it to the "real editor" to go clip by clip and be more specific. ;)
