Jay stabs himself in the stomach, "a blade should never hurt the user, youre gone"

The respect the judges and the competitors have to each other is striking, especially in our present entertainment sector. Thank you. ❤

The only thing these clips are missing is the shots of the finished knives before the tests.

Jay is an absolute beast on those knives

We need a montage of Jay going batshit mental on various objects. One scary dude if there's a weapon in his hand :O

The back of the handle would not have hurt the judge during the sharpness test.

Jay is beating those knives like the metal plates owe him money

interesting, this is the first segment where I noticed Jay is clearly wearing a vest, even before he drew attention to it.

Thanks for the little subtitle about whiteout and TiO2. I'd always wondered "why whiteout".

If I were a contestant, I would put only one piece of the grate in the canister and fill the remaining space with high carbon steel powder to avoid violating the parameters. In this way, there is no need to consider whether the grate is made of high carbon steel, and the occurrence of delamination can be suppressed.

Seeing jay with the knives, I'm so satisfied he was the first to lose the beat the judges competition

Seems to me, it was an edge case given the time between injury and any kind of conclusion. Still, it makes sense to have very low tolerance for weapons hurting judges. Both for safety reasons and fairness (it becomes very subjective otherwise)

After missing center with the straight knife before it, "The warp in your blade is the reason I didn't strike center."

FiF should get someone like Eddie Hall to do the strength test! The team you've got is good, but getting a strong man to do the strength test would be a good show.

This show … as awesome as it is…
It had class when Will Willis was the presenter.
When Will left (and I don’t blame his reasons…I’d have done the same…) the show went south imho.
The current (new) presenter isn’t bad, he does a good job.
The conduct of the show simply isn’t at the level it was when Will was out front.

My wife and I watched this show for YEARS and loved every single episode…until Will left.
Then our watching became spotty…at best.

This is an arena of competition with a lot of protective parameters so i can understand the judges decision, but in combat, if the blade is functional and hurts the opponent, it doesn't matter if it hurts the wielder, who can always take a file to the sharp bit to smooth it out.

But technically Jay was holding that knife wrong and using it irregularly that's why he got hurt he didn't have his hand directly on the handle he was holding it from the back and stabbing it down
