To be fair, there are frequent articles & coverage on networks which compares the US response to countries across the globe; if that’s the game being played, it’s not unreasonable for him to respond by making comparisons in a similar fashion. Reporter asks Trump why he is so competitive. I watched Gavin Newsom talk about the California GDP and how it’s the best in the nation. If Newsom can be competitive, so can Trump. That reporter should reconsider her career options because she’s more interested in schooling Trump than asking relevant questions and has no problem making the news about herself. Men are competitive. Politicians are competitive. That’s not a relevant question. It’s a gotcha question meant to embarrass and belittle Trump. He mentions China and suddenly she’s taking off her mask, revealing that she’s Asian and implying Trump was being racist. Seriously? Her face was literally covered and Trump’s the racist? No, she would be the racist because he’s white and she thinks she can publicly shame him and he’ll just have to take the verbal beating.
