Love your videos, totally relate to your life philosophy. I drive (my only car) a 2010 987.2 base Boxster I purchased for $35K in 2013, a CPO. I’ve driven it 100k since then and still love every drive, every up shift and downshift’ every curve and straight. With a complete new Soul Performance exhaust system in 2019 even the “aural symphony” is amazing. I just finished a 3000 mi cross country trip to Minnesota and back to Virginia via the Great Lakes UP of Michigan including the Appalachian Mts across WV and VA. Sublime experience. Haha, super - 718 Boxster..! I have owned a descent number of Porsches over the years, classic ones and modern ones, 911 platform and 718 platform, of which I purchased a GTS4.0 stick shift last year and as far as I am concerned, I prefer the mid engine, more agile, more engaging 718 platform. My last 911 was almost double the price, a great car - but I’d say just 80% of the fun… whatsoever, Carpe Diem - whatever floats your boat and big congrats to you for the first Zuffenhausen-purchase…👍

Welcome back Peter, glad you're feeling better. I have the R and the R6. I use the R for video and landscape and the R6 for wildlife. Would I swap them both for an R5, possibly, but at the moment they suit my needs well. Anyway, enjoy the new car, it looks amazing. All the best, Brian.

Sold what I thought was the love of my live, my 2014 Morgan Plus 8 to buy my 2016 Porsche 718 Boxster. So I understand. The 718 Boxster S may be a 4 cylinder turbo, but with 350 bhp and all the torque from 2000 pm it is blisteringly quick. With PDK and PASM plus Sport Chrono what more can a 70 year old 17 year old kid want? In the last 6 months three people I've worked closely with for many years fell of their perches, with a dull thud. Two were in their early 60s. A harsh reminder that growing old with a body that (more or less) works is a privilege.

I paid £51, 000 of the new Kings pounds for the car in 2022. It had 11, 200 miles on the clock and a full Porsche Centre history. A year and 5500 miles later I'm so very happy...
