Something about the Pixel just looks so... humane, whereas other phones just look like cold slabs of glass. Google does a good job in making their products blend in

I've been lucky this year to have both of these phones ... The comparison you did is spot on. If you need a phone to do everything (The Kitchen sink approach)... Work, play it's the S23U... If you want a phone to be your companion, to just work (Apple approach) then the Google Pixel 8 Pro. Great video as always.

AHHHH! I still can't decide lol I have ALWAYS had a Galaxy with my recent being the S21 Ultra 5G (which 5G just plain stinks btw)! But I am fed up with it overheating, dying super fast and the speakers suck :( I will literally have my phone at 100% and as soon as I unplug it (and literally don't use it cuz I am in the car) I notice within 15 minutes it's down to 90% and then it drops even faster when I have to text someone! I need a new phone asap but I am losing my mind on the one I want lol I am simple! The only games I really play is Best Fiends and a stupid merging game so I am not fancy! I like taking good pics but FAILED with this one! I was so excited when I took it to Disney and could barely figure out how to utilize all 5 cameras as I am not a photographer! So I just need simple but lasting...something EASY to navigate with and and a phone with great sound, great screen colors, long/decent life and great camera(s)! HELP!!!!

The only interesting thing about the Pixel for me is the software Google has installed on the Pixel. The Ai, and all the stuff you can do to your photos and video with it.

Good review. It feels like comparing phones that are not even close in price seems a stretch though. I am currently debating between the samsung s23 and the google pixel 8 pro, which are almost the same price. The ultra is 50% more, so it is not even in my search. I used to buy the best samsungs available, but I find phones have all surpassed what I need from them. The money is better spent on other tech. But I tried going with a samsung 23 fe, and it had connectivity issues, so I am back to looking.

Let me break it for you all. i just traded in s23 ultra with pixel 8 pro. Things i miss ability to hide apps, more control of the performance and see how much resources are beimg used by it other than this the ability to customize the phone more in s23 ultra. One basic function was to double tap to lock screen is not present in pixel and people have been asking for it for years and google doesnt listen. Better off with one plus and s24 ultra.
If i were to buy a phone for 3 years or more ill go with samsung and oneplus.

My pixel 8 pro handles fortnite at epic settings at 60 fps. That's a win for me. Everything else I've been impressed with it coming from an s23 ultra I probably won't go back to it.
