Four weeks ago I ordered my SE 122 stage III kit. Still has not shipped. I am starting to understand the frustration I have seen from many guys waiting on part at my dealership. Harley needs to do better.

Big fan of stage 3 119/122. BUT..

heads up MoCo replaced the designed for the higher 11-1 compression stage 3 kit, 498 cam & springs for the can’t breathe or rev 447 torque cam.

I think this was done because a stage 3 could produce power just a smidge short of the cash cow stage 4 kits. MoCo didn’t want you to know you could get 95% of the power for less than 50% of the kit & labor price of the stage 4.

Just tell your dealership you want the 498 cam & springs instead of the 447 cam & springs with your stage 3 119/122.

FWIW the 498 cam doesn’t lose bottom end torque like the stage 4 515 cam it simply doesn’t make quite as much top end HP. I have a fall of 2019 stage 3 114ci with 498 cam. It dynoed 118 HP and pulls at 2k rpm in town better than my stocker did.

what i would like to know is what the difference between stage 2 cam and the stage 3 cam, if its only minor then you might as well nypass stage 2 and go straight to 3?

Why not make it factory oem on new bikes? Stealership upgrades.

if i go from stage 1 to stage 3, then all i need to do is buy the pushrods? because stage2 is really the cam shaft, which is upgraded anyway with a stage3.

Now with the 114 S & Street Bob, should there be an updated video to displacement? Another question is, can the pistons, heads cam etc. of the Stage 4 be bolted on without increasing the displacement on the 114 S & Street Bob?

I just want to know why it takes six to eight weeks for the stage three kit to make it to the dealership after ordering. This is ridiculous.

What breather kit do you recommend for best overall performance of a stage 3 or stage 4?

I heard anything after a stage 2 is throwing your money away! A stage 2 is all ya need.

So if you go from stage 1 straight to 3, do you need the adjustable pushrods of stage 2 or are the stock ones ok?

If your going to go stage 3 might as well go all the way ported and polished heads will make your bike grab you by the seat of the pants
