Topper Johnny lightning collection almost complete.

I have been trying to collect all 47 original topper cars from 1969 to 1971 . Here is how I made out last year . Thank you for watching stay EZ 😎.

Excellent collection!!
I remember having the Stiletto, Nucleon and the Monster when I was little (I remember that the Monster and some others can be filled with compressed air, having some sort of bladder inside, which can be released when a plastic part holding in the compressed air snaps open by the car running over a raised staple protruding on the track, causing the compressed air to expel out, giving the car a extra burst of thrust)

Very nice! I have about 20 original Toppers in raceable condition. You're correct about the scarcity of 'the Detroits', although the common-colored El Dorados can sometimes be found @ reasonable prices. And I'm a firm believer that Orenstein's cars were, indeed, faster than Mattel's. History shows that Mattel didn't catch up(in rolling performance) until Topper was well out of business.

I remember that Johnny Lightning cars couldn't make it around the hot wheels loop. They where too long. But they rolled much faster than hot wheels.

That Flame Out looks like a REPOP from the 90s. You do have some very nice cars. Quite an impressive collection. I have 42 of the 47. Also the repops and the "Lost Topper Collection". Good luck with your collection.
