That was a great introduction. Now let's remember dukes, marquises, and such WERE nobles, they were the ruling class. As they lost political power, nobility was reserved only for royals. And aristocracy can be without a title. A highly respected group in society, an Earl, or a distant descendent of nobles can be considered nowadays an "aristocrat".

This is a correct explanation of the Royalty and Nobility of the United Kingdom. It doesn't apply to other current or former European countries.

In the descending order of Dignity, I thought “Emperor” was the highest ranking.

it would have been good also to explain the origins of these titles in Latin:
prince = princeps [first person]
duke = dux [ducis] = leader
Count = comes [comitis] companion
etc

1:35 isn’t exactly true depending on the time period, in the early medieval ages most kingdoms were decentralized and the king only ruled over a small part of the land while having to rely on the nobility to not overthrow them

Earl was rooted in Norse culture, Dukes were from Roman.

Knights were nobility though. Some even inherited land. Never heard of a knight's fee? Some was certain taxes, but landed knights were, well, LANDED. It's in the name. Even unlanded knights were nobles, they had priveledges of nobility, in some countries this included the right to not be tortured if imprisioned under suspicions of a crime or as punishment, and the right to be ransomned after surrender instead of being summarily executed. In certain countries, certain positions in the King's household and/or Army were reserved for nobles, like the King's travelling judges, local stewards or tax collectors, and knights qualified. In fact, some lordly families had their origins as 3rd or 4th generation local royal stewards that got landed with some or all of the areas their family had overseen for good and loyal service.

Nobility controls certain territories what about the cities? Is it under the control mayors or a title similar to a mayor or is it directly controlled by the nobility?
