RWF Player Caught Exploiting THIS Damage Bug!

One of the raiders of Liquid has been recently found abusing a bug that gave him more damage. Should he be punished?

Banning over this in the middle of the race, when Echo got away with what they did on Fyrakk, would be ridiculous. If they want to have some zero tolerance rule then go ahead and ban Firedup and strip Echo of their world first Fyrakk kill.

It shouldn't be bannable if it was publicly reported ages ago and still not fixed. At this point it is intended untill changed

Honestly after the Fyrakk thing with Echo and the “sneak Lua” stuff and nothing happening to that whole team what does it matter? Blizzard have shown they don’t give a shit as they didn’t do anything even after it came out.

The most damning thing about this, is hes changed his UI to make it look like hes targeting normally.

So not only is he doing it on purpose, he also knows its wrong, and hes trying to hide it

why do we argue over an extremely simple fact ? an exploit is an exploit and should be penalized. period.

This was deliberate. He had to make a focus macro for every single one of his spells. This is exploiting.
If you are going to ban A for exploiting, then ban B for exploiting,

I’m sorry, I just don’t see the difference between this and what mages did on Jailer to cancel/reduce his shield using the Venthyr covenant ability. That gave the them a HUGE advantage and it was OBVIOUSLY not intended on Blizzard’s part, but I don’t remember anyone crying foul.

If nothing was done when Echo guild killed Fyrakk with sneak.lua then nothing should be done when one single player is doing something on a middle boss I get the stance from blizzard but it cant be a rule for one and another for everyone else

While I think you have a point about trying to discourage using bugs even if no edge was actually gained from the use, I’m sorry but I don’t think anyone associated with Echo this tier should be allowed to comment on if players should be banned since they cheated their way to victory last tier…

The only reason this is a story at all is because Gingi went to Twitter to start drama. Both guilds have done cheeky ass exploit shit throughout the history of the race.

Blizzard has always banned ppl for getting rep/ gear/ character levels through intentional exploits, but they don't do anything about Plagueborer/misdirection/dps exploits/bugs.

It's whatever, ban them all they're all cheating in different ways, let Method win for once

Funny that Gingi have something to say about this, he/they as i know have never won an MDI without useing some sort of Exploit, in one of the instance

It’s like they are banning the exploitation in the economics aspect, such as gold and renown, but for combat related exploitation, they just don’t.

After exploiting the lua bug on fyrakk last tier, that 99% gave u the win. It's crazy to be this mad. Prob setting the stage for the excuses tour in cade u lose a tier that u are looking very average in.

I understand how this is an unintended use of spellslinger which is an exploit but this is also a competitive race to world first so players are simultaneously supposed to push themselves while policing themselves at the same time.

This player should be banned, it is clear that you should not achieve 200+ stacks on a max 8 stack ability by rewriting all your spells to not target the boss directly...
