how LCBO workers are allowed to go on strike is crazy. Just replace them all. They are not skilled workers they are cashiers. The reason trades can go on strike is because they are skilled workers that aren't easily replaceable.

They lost 2 weeks worth of salary. Not exactly a win.

This is probably the worst move any union in Canada has made. They truly exposed and screwed the LCBO workers. The fact that they go on strike and all we hear about is Doug pushing forward with his plan to get alcohol readily available in 1000s of stores across Ontario which will trigger the elimination of some LCBO locations. This is bad, I truly feel bad for the workers. You or your colleagues will likely be losing their jobs in the coming months.

What ever just let other store sell liquor.. and see how fast these useless workers will get there asses back through those doors and back to serving the public, who ultimately pay there wages through extorted loopholes the provincial government had made.

workers unions should be illegal. especially government workers unions. the prices at the LCBO are ridiculous because of them. they should earn minimum wage

Just go to duty free, turn around and pay the tax on it. Probably still cheaper than a retail lcbo and the gas to drive to the duty free.

The LCBO doesn’t seem to realize that they are fast becoming a relic. It’s also laughable that the beer store still exists…and the fact we STILL pay an asinine deposit for cans and bottles that are NOT REUSED, then load them up in the car and drive them all back to a store is about the dumbest thing the people of Ontario put up with.
