I would also like to say that I have never heard of the person that you are talking about. I came up with this edit bc of the audio. When Celeste aka Taeko spoke without her accent she sounded so beautiful!

It's especially sad because the primary reason she committed a murder wasn't because of money. While she did express her wishes that she would like to use it she lied saying it was enough to motivate her. The main reason she killed is that in the trial beforehand a specific rule that she set was broken, the nighttime rule: that people should not wander and stay strictly in their rooms after Monokuma signals it is time to go to bed. She made that rule not only for protection but also to have control over the group since she is a gambler after all and she as she mentions often in her dialogue she hates relying purely on luck to save her but rather her actual skillsets. Similar to how Leon disliked his natural talent for baseball she hated her natural talent of luck not only because it was inconsistent but also because it wasn't something that a person could cultivate, they were just born with it. Ironically enough she actually purposely left clues that she was the murderer to test her skills to get away with it to prove that she didn't need luck, so many in fact that even her luck couldn't save her. Nonetheless, her motive for the murder was that she lost the one source of control she had over the group with the Nighttime rule by the triage of the Ultimate: Heir, Biker, and Coder (sorry if I got the titles wrong). Her one source of 'oh I actually have good skills and don't need my impudent luck' and self-confidence in surviving was thrown out the window. Even more when literally half of the survivors broke it again soon after to see the ai on the computer. So when her only source of 'comfort'/'safety' was taken away she decided it was best for her to try and kill someone to escape before someone could get to her first or they guessed the culprit incorrectly. Overall her motive is just my favorite from the whole Danganronpa series.
