Judging from my shitty phone speaker I'd say A.

To me, the instruments seem more balenced and defined in mix A.

If mix A turns out to be the headphones I'm gonna turn into the living embodiment of the "shut up and take my money" meme so fast

This is not what Slate claims. They never said : it's better than studio monitors. They said if your room is not treated like a professional studio, you can achieve a professional mix that translates perfectly everywhere with the help of their technology. Also a mix relies on the person's skills and personal taste. Put a professional mix engineer compared to a beginner, you won't get the same result. But can you get a perfect balanced mix with those headphones and the software? Yes, without a doubt.

I like mix A. Mix B seemed a little harsh in the top end, but hey, I've got horrible tinnitus, so more top end tends to suck for me. Great job as always, Glenn!

Preferred mix A. Everything sat nice in its space. B had some extra fizzy high mids to my ear (not on the bestest headphones) that felt like it ended up as a lower quality mix but quite close

A is more balanced while B lacks the low end, so I say A is better.

B sound good for when you are a guitar player and you wanna hear yourself through everything. With vocals it would sound way too sharp and high and you wouldn’t get an even mix.
A is definitely more balanced. You can hear everything and the bass and guitar sound better “glued” together. And really important there is room for bass

Listened to both mixes on studio monitors and on Sennheiser HD650 headphones. In both cases, I greatly preferred Mix A.

Listened on headphones, too. Still both sound just fine.

B is on the headphones because the low end is stripped out and that tells me the bass was heavier in the headphones. And im judging this from 1 shitty cheap wireless earbud in my left ear

Both mixes sound close to me, but Mix B seems to have some hot sauce on it. I'm having difficulty trying to explain why, but it seems more cohesive.

I like the Mix B, I hear a bit more of the high end and the clank of the bass strings, sounds great

First one for sure, second one seemed tinnier and I had more trouble picking out the instruments

My mixes have improved since using VSX. I reckon they were used on mix A because my results come out beefier.

How about a song that isnt just slamming the wav form? Something with some space....

For me mix A because to my ears seems fuller, less harsh and the guitar sits in the right place.

On the phone mix b poped out more at low volume more highs that might be the headphones?

Mix A sounds to have slightly more bottom end, while mix B is a little tighter. So I guess it comes down to reference, if the headphones accurately reproduce accurate bottom end or if they make too much or too little. Either way still great mixes.
