Instead of making Taken a "Taken" trilogy, it should have been a Bryan Mills trilogy, where Liam Neeson either has to rescue other abducted people or just have different action scenarios for each one. Or make "Taken" and call it a day.

Taken should never of been a trilogy, it worked fine as a stand alone movie.

I totally agree with your point Chris on Megaton taking actors who can do action and making them look awful at it. Neeson is competent, just watch Rob Roy or even The Phantom Menace, he's really good.

Here's a game. watch taken 3 whilst pointing a gun to your head but only pull the trigger when a shot exceeds 4 seconds. Amazingly you will survive through the whole movie. Unless the terribleness of the movie made you pull the trigger anyway.

This trilogy. Why did it need to be a trilogy ('cough I know money cough'). The first one was so good, and it left on such a satisfying and good note. *Sigh*

I really hate how every successful action film now is basically mandated to become a trilogy, except of course the ones that are base on books in which case it's a trilogy plus one half. Taken did not need a sequel, and if it did one would have been enough. Hollywood now does't seem to get the fact that the reason Star Wars was successful as a trilogy is because it was conceived as a trilogy.

Honestly
This was the funniest movie of 2014 and 2015 (so far) for me.
I went in with 7 friends and left with stomach pains from laughing so hard

Examples of the true hilarity of this movie:

-"How did you know?"
"The warm bagels"

- *car rolls down hill, 1264 cuts later it blows up killing a person (Bryan)*
"Cool. Lets go get drunk."

- Dead Russian dude laying on the stairs with only his underwear

- trailer of a truck rolls off and more than likely kills 10 innocent people, but Bryan Mills can't kill some douchebag Russian guy

- how long was he hiding in the women's bathroom for?

- isn't his daughter going to college / university? Because that was defiantly a high school... and she doesn't look young enough to be going there

- Stewart is a different actor in this movie and I had 0 idea who he was until somebody said his name

- I had 0 idea what was happening with those shitty action scenes. Seriously, nobody likes this editing

- shaky cam while the audience tries to read what is on the cell phone just so the actors can read WORD FOR WORD what was texted and add in filler time

- the daughter walked right in to the store, drank the milk or whatever, then just left

- how the hell did Bryan get into the back of the SUV?
Or how the hell did he escape the elevator so quickly when he was coming back down from the Russian dudes place?

- lastly, he did not beat up the boyfriend for getting his daughter pregnant

I laughed way too hard at this movie... A++, haven't had such a good time at the cinema in quite some time

Why does Olivier Megaton keep getting work? His sole trademark as director is he only directs action movies with shitty action in them. Whatever happened to Pierre Morel, the guy who directed the first TAKEN? Seemed like he was going places, then he just kinda wasn't.

Taken 2 — The one with the shit story, lazy editing and crap fight choreography.
