Why is diversity necessarily a 'good thing'? What's so good about it? How has it been of benefit to Britain? Since we started becoming diverse we have gone into a rapid decline in every area of life.

Mr Henry, black people already have a level playing field, much more level than anyone else in fact. Life and success are up to the individual, it doesn't fall into your lap, life is hard for all of us. Can black people not make it on their own? Do we need to hold their hand or something? Stop whining and get on with your life!

I agree with Lenny there is not enough "Diversity"on TV, There are way too many black and gay prople, they are over represented. In football and athletics blacks are also over represented, but here they get the place on merit no complaints there. If you want the position work for it, stop expecting results based on gender, colour or sexual preferences.

If we go down the road towards quotas, like Henry here seems to be suggesting we should, we're basically finished - merit and ability should be the only criteria for employing someone, and any meddling by governments in the process spells the death of independence in the arts.

Good point by Jon raising the class system and Lenny automatically assuming that means poor black people when it's the white working class that are the forgotten group.
It's not in the interests of the ruling classes to discuss the class system as they want the establishment to continue uninterrupted.
