Incredible New Images of Space

Here are my favorite new images from the James Webb Space Telescope:

- The clearest image we’ve ever had of Uranus and more importantly, its rings.
- A young protostar that’s only around 100,000 years old.
- Two interacting galaxies that look exactly like a question mark?
- Best of all: An image showing the warping of spacetime...

The JWST keeps sending us incredible images, and with each one, we unlock new mysteries about our galaxy.

The fact that JWST was even launched and deployed without an accident and is now doing amazing work is a marvel of humanity. So cool.

I read about gravitational lensing. But seeing one in real life curving light like that, its just mind bending😮

To visit Uranus we'll need to enter a tight orbit

What's also amazing is that when you get a cluster of black holes in the shape of a simple diamond or circle, they bend the light in such a way as to create a magnifying effect. Meaning we can then see even further. Which means objects so far away are now visible thanks to the magnifying effect. Which means we can see further into the past. And closer to the beginning of time.

Jokes with "Uranus" (yur-AY-nus) are almost inevitable. Can't we just settle on "YOO-ruh-nus"?

The look on your face in the thumbnail for this is one of my favourites that consistently happens in your videos. You just got so much whimsy and wonder about science and the universe

I love that photo of Uranus! I think this will be one of those moments where our idea of what the planet looks like permanently changes like when those close up photos of Pluto were taken.
