I love the spin from trump and his allies that this somehow exposed China for being an unreasonable trade monster for… putting a lower tariff on us than we put on them.
It’s kinda hard to claim the moral or economic high ground when we’re the ones causing virtually unprecedented chaos and volatility and they are just matching our tariffs.
If anything it is doing a huge service to them on the world stage by making them look like a more stable and reliable trading partner.

USA should be worried that if China does go under from this trade war, there's a lot less on the line to lose if they use their military. If their economy unravels entirely then the risk of losing some relationships won't matter if they can invade other parts of the APAC region
