Spider-Man: No Way Home is a 2021 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man, co-produced by Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios, and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing. It is the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), and the 27th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film was directed by Jon Watts and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. It stars Tom Holland as Peter Parker / Spider-Man alongside Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jacob Batalon, Jon Favreau, Jamie Foxx, Willem Dafoe, Alfred Molina, Benedict Wong, Tony Revolori, Marisa Tomei, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire. In the film, Parker asks Dr. Stephen Strange (Cumberbatch) to use magic to make his identity as Spider-Man a secret again after this was revealed to the world at the end of Far From Home. When the spell goes wrong because of Parker's actions, the multiverse is broken open and visitors from alternate realities are brought into Parker's universe.

A third MCU Spider-Man film was planned during the production of Homecoming in 2017. Negotiations between Sony and Marvel Studios to alter their deal—in which they produce the Spider-Man films together—ended with Marvel Studios leaving the project in August 2019, but a negative fan reaction led to a new deal between the companies a month later. Watts, McKenna, Sommers, and Holland were set to return, and filming took place from October 2020 to March 2021 in New York City and Atlanta. No Way Home serves as a crossover between the MCU and the previous Spider-Man films directed by Sam Raimi and Marc Webb. Several actors reprise their roles from those films, including previous Spider-Man actors Maguire and Garfield. The pair's involvement was the subject of wide speculation and numerous leaks despite the efforts of Sony, Marvel, and the cast to conceal their involvement.

Peter Benjamin Parker is a former Midtown School of Science and Technology student who gained superhuman abilities and fought crime across New York City as the superhero Spider-Man. While he juggled his hero duties with the demands of his high-school life, he was recruited by Tony Stark to join the Avengers Civil War, putting Spider-Man into a brief conflict with Captain America. Parker was given a new suit as well as new Stark technology in exchange for his help and was allowed to keep them when he returned home to continue his own hero work.

While he continued to try and prove himself as a worthy hero in the eyes of Iron Man so he could join the Avengers, Parker began investigating the illicit criminal activities of Vulture, who was attempting to sell his Chitauri based weapons onto the black market, with only the assistance of his best friend Ned Leeds, while also trying to win his academic decathlon finals. Eventually, Parker gained the affections of classmate Liz Allan, but learned her father, Adrian Toomes, was Vulture. Spider-Man thwarted Vulture's robbery of a Stark Industries cargo plane, to which Stark showed his respect by offering Parker an official place with the Avengers. Parker turned this down in order to continue being a local hero in Queens, despite his Aunt May discovering his secret identity.

Parker was pulled back into the Avengers' conflict when the Black Order had invaded Earth, joining Stark as a stowaway to rescue Doctor Strange from space. Given a new Iron Spider armor, Parker, Stark and Strange joined forces with the Guardians of the Galaxy, joining their attempts to prevent Thanos from collecting the six Infinity Stones. But the heroes failed to defeat Thanos during the Battle of Titan; resulting in half of life being wiped out; including Parker. Five years later, Spider-Man was resurrected in the Blip, and rejoined the fight against Thanos, ultimately watching Stark sacrifice his life to defeat the Mad Titan.

The bereaved and traumatized Parker decided to take some time off his hero duties, while also being pressured by the press if he would be the next Iron Man, and seeking refuge on his school trip to Europe. However, despite wanting to focus his attention on winning the attention of Michelle Jones, Parker witnessed Hydro-Man's attack in Venice and was recruited by "Nick Fury" to work with Mysterio to defeat the Elementals.

At least he gets to actually see who he's fighting and isn't just green-screened in

God I love this, the director saying he felt bad with the bs otto had to deal with on set, yet he's like "eh I didn't do much, just swing my shoulders while Tom's doing flips n shit" I love it, he didn't even care about the harness, bro was enjoying what turned into a A tier movie

Actors looks so cool on performing their own stunts on the set. This is what people buy movie tickets for.

I don't know if there will ever be a better Doc Ock casting than Alfred Molina

i was so happy they got him to return, but at the same time, i get it, the technology is now available to create totally cgi tentacles, Mr.Malina is an older gentleman now, and it was probably better for him in the long run, in SM2, the Remi version, Malina had to wear set of practical rig id tentacles that weighed almost 50 pounds, if i remember right. I also love how the director seemingly really cared about all the actors even the returning villians, i also love how non serious Alfed Malina was about how he act in the updated version of his Doc Ock character, you can tell he still loves the character and is a very lovely person in real life and is one who likes to be silly as well.

I love the fact that this was a reunion tour of the last 20 odd years of Spidermen and villains

Doctor Octopus said, "In Spiderman 2 they had real metal tentacles which were operated with 8 people to make it smooth movement throughout the film... Now they had all VFX so I'm doing nothing, just acting and moving as if something happening.."
That proves how the technology moved so fast that it started taking jobs of other stuntmen and crew members 😊

i think that just goes to show how good alfred molina, the director, stunt coordinator, and choreographer are at their jobs because with all that, molina's performance as doc ock is as great as it possibly could be. very glad we got to see him reprise the role
