Anyone who watched Adriano at Inter would never forget him.
Football peaked during this time.

This man was a nightmare to play against in early 2000s.

Imagine being so big, so powerful, so regal and so influential that you, a teenager get called by your own peers, your own teammates, your own fans.. THE EMPEROR.

This guy was absolutely unbelievable in his younger days, he never had a prime.
He was the most destructive one man force of his age we'll probably ever see.
Absolutely guttered he never reached his limitless potential

I definitely agree 100% with him. Happiness is more important for us. Money help us but not the most

A left footed R9. Though R9 was in a different class, Adriano was good too.

Best Pes player ever imo. He’s was a beast. But his father’s death effected him crazy that his motivation of playing higher went down. He’s still belongs to my top 3 Striker ever with R9 & Henry for me to watch.

I met him several times through mutual friends at the club Luminal in Milan, it was back in 2005. He had just lost his dad, the guy drank alcohol like crazy. He looked like a lost soul..depressed. Just that state of mind you can see in the eyes of people that are hurting inside.
If you look up an interview with tha captain and legend interista Javier Zanetti. He revealed that his biggest disappointment and regret was not beeing able to save Adriano in time.

He probably had the hardest left footed shot I’ve ever seen, absurd talent he was, for the kids who never saw him in his prime you missed out.

The Emperor! An amazing talent. Definitely a "what if..." The streets will definitely never forget. Hope he finds the peace he needs. Football isn't everything.

I needed to hear this, for him to say it out loud! I’m happy for him and it’s easier to accept hearing it from him 😢 my favorite Brazilian in the 2000’s. I said it, and no one can change my mind.

Good for him. He's got nothing to explain to anyone. His life - his decisions.
An absolute elite striker of his era when really good centre forwards were much more common, compared to today.

Such a shame he felt that way. He was one of the best strikers around 😔
