My Favorite PS5/PS4 Games So Far For 2021 (And Personal GOTY)

We're eight months into the year so far and despite all the delays, we've still had a lot of fantastic games come out across PS5 and PS4. Actually great games everywhere so we'll have a talk about some of my favorite PlayStation releases, and then after touch on some Switch/Xbox as well. Who woulda thought right? Just some good ol' fashioned talking, you and me. We never do that anymore, certainly not every Friday for the last 9 years or so.

Good call on Returnal for current GOTY. it's mine, too. Such a great game! The atmosphere is top notch, the story is intriguing, and love how it's presented to the player, the combat is incredible, the boss, and enemy variety is incredible. It's like a ballet of bullets. So glad Sony picked up Housemarque. They deserve to be under the Sony brand, and can't wait to see what they do next.

Loved it takes two. Me and my wife played couch coop platinum run and had a great time. Emotional story and gameplay mechanics make sense

Scarlet Nexus probably my favorite game for this year so far. The game mechanics, story, animation, and visual is soo appealing

Great game of the year pick with returnal. The quality of gameplay and combat is unmatched and they used the dual sense perfectly.

Even though it actually released in 2019, I really liked the new PS5 version of A Plague Tale: Innocence and can’t wait for the sequel next year.

I'm so close to playing Rift Apart ( playing the whole series and so far I'm just starting All 4 One ) so many great games. Haven't started Demons Souls nor Returnal or Hitman 3 yet but I did play Resident Evil Village which I highly recommend Ryan . Awesome immersive game . Returnal or Ratchet could be my GOTY but haven't played it yet but so far Resident Evil Village is my GOTY so far as it stands .

Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut!! The haptic feedback on ps5 is so satisfying! You feel every sword parry, every horse gallop, and so much more. I also think the japanese lip sync really brings a different atmosphere to the game. Definitely worth starting a new save progress and experiencing it again.
