Fun fact. Holmberg15A, the galaxy, was discovered 1937 by Swedish astronomer Erik Holmberg.
It was just a standard elliptic galaxy until it was reported in 2014 that it had the biggest core known at 15.000 lightyears. That was later refuted. But now it seems to be in the news again.

This is a galaxy that really wants to be famous :)

The fact that black holes exist is proof (at least in my book) that light speed is not the fastest possible speed. Since gravity and acceleration are equivalent, the acceleration towards the singularity from the event horizon being so fast that not even light is ever reflected back is pretty good proof.
