Fun fact. Holmberg15A, the galaxy, was discovered 1937 by Swedish astronomer Erik Holmberg.
It was just a standard elliptic galaxy until it was reported in 2014 that it had the biggest core known at 15.000 lightyears. That was later refuted. But now it seems to be in the news again.

This is a galaxy that really wants to be famous :)

It's possible that more than two black holes collided to create this behemoth. Over time there could have been multiple collisions.
Thanks Anton.

"When it comes to [X], there's a lot of stuff we just don't really know." is a universally true statement in astrophysics.

Although I’m getting used to hearing the mind boggling numbers when it comes to the size, distance, and massiveness of the universe and the stuff in it, every once in a while another thing comes along like this that puts size once again in perspective. Incredible.

Anton, I came to your channel with great curiosity lots of months ago and I stayed because you research and speak with true passion about the cosmos. The way you presented me the stars with Universe Sandbox just blew my mind. I have to tell you that I’m glad you taught me so much abou stars, galaxies and black holes! You also made me buy a great telescope to look up for myself and learn more about what’s out there. I don’t understand why people feel small about the huge universe... I prefer the confort to know that there’s a lot more to know and feed humanity’s curiosity. You don’t know me but I’m truly glad I found you on a youtube search about astronomy. I had no idea that your passion would become part of me. Thank you for spreading the virus of science on the internet! You sir are doing more than public service to the humanity! Best wishes and long live. Huge fan... Space out, bye bye!

I really like this channel. The science that you explain so well and the fact that we don’t understand a lot of what is going on in the universe is also exciting. So much more to discover.

The fact that black holes exist is proof (at least in my book) that light speed is not the fastest possible speed. Since gravity and acceleration are equivalent, the acceleration towards the singularity from the event horizon being so fast that not even light is ever reflected back is pretty good proof.

Hey Anton, do you think there's a possibility for dark matter to create a black hole? somewhat like the video where you explained how dark matter could form a star

I had Subtitles on. Nearly convinced me the black hole is called Homework 15a 😂😂😂

Very interesting video. The scale of things in the universe is incredible. Furthermore, the range of measurements in nature is amazing, from quarks to galaxy clusters to galactic voids.

Black holes absolutely amaze me....I love watching your videos because I look up into the sky every day and just think how endless it really is up there. Too bad we’ll never know

Please talk about ‘2019 OK’ and how its impact would’ve affected earth. Maybe a simulation with Universe Sandbox? I think people are blowing this out of proportion saying that all life would’ve been eradicated.
