There is a Sumerian tablet involving this same ruler Enmarkar, mentioning Enki changing the speech of the people somewhat matches up with this honestly. The Sumerian tablet referencing this is “Enmarkar and the Lord of Aratta.” Enmerkar was thought to be Nimrod… as they are saying the Hebrew “NMR” without the vowels matches up to NMR and the “od” added to the Hebrew makes it a verb “to rebel”… he ruled at around the same time as Biblical Nimrod based on the Sumerian King’s List and ruled over the city of Uruk which is where a ton of people gathered to build the first monumental buildings on Earth… one of these buildings was Etemenanki which is Sumerian for “House of the Foundation of Heaven on Earth”.

Even if these two stories were the same, it's odd to just assume the Biblical version was the copy. These stories have part of oral tradition for so long we have no way of knowing how old they actually are.

Also why would it be copied from Sumerian tablets, while Sumerians existed? And why would us discovering it on Sumerian tablets prove that Sumerians coined it, instead of just proving that they wrote about it a lot?

The Bible is extremely new in comparison with other religious tablets and text. It has a cursory summary of history, both factual and symbolical, to attempt to control individuals and sway society into a cycle that benefits those in power that claim it’s authority.
