RV and motorcycle lift

RV and Motorcyle using MX Ultimate MX Hauler Ramp Single Motorcycle Carrier. Low cost method of attending conferences. Find an RV park outside the city and ride the motorcycle to the conference. Cost of RV part was $50 per night and the conference Hotel was over $250 per night.

I have a BMW F650 GS that weighs 475 pounds. It is a little too heavy for this lift. At the lowest level the hydraulic jack has the least mechanical advantage and will not lift the bike. Once at the destination the bike is too heavy to roll it back off the rack. This is due in part to the flex of the rack and the lifting the bike wheel over the ribs in the rack. If I get another person to help, it goes fine. I can drive it on the rack.

The rack with a 200 pound Moped worked great.

Did you modify a MX carrier, adding a rack?

We use the same hauler with a BMW G650GS on the back of my motorhome. We drive around in Argentina at the moment. I am interested in anyone who has experience with this rack and a heavier bike (according to BMW 421LBS).

What wheel chock did you add? Did it install into factory pre-drilled holes?

Just replace the jack with one that lifts more weight and you wont have that problem anymore.
