You can buy these cards for as little as $220 / £240
Which makes them great for budget gaming.
Even though it carries the 128bit bus speed.
Sure enough the 970's are $70 / £40 more, but for 1080p gaming, the 960 4G is an outstanding value card

Btw you get lower fps when in windowed borderless mode, so if you're a person who dosen't need to constantlly tab out of the game and wait few seconds then I would recommend going fullscreen as it improved my fps by 10-15 which helped me run the game at stable 75fps at medium/high settings with V-sync enabled on my Acer GF246 24-inch 1080p Full HD Monitor (TN panel, 1ms, 75Hz)

Intel I7-3770K (Overclocked to 4.4Ghz)
MSI Gtx 960 4G (Overclocked= Power Limit 108%/Temp.Limit 95c, +140MHz Core Clock and +400MHz)
2x8Gb Kingston HyperX Beast RAM, Dual-Channel overclocked to 1866Mhz.

For Nvidia users I recommend taking a look at tweeking 3D Settings that can be found in the NVIDIA Control Panel:
First, open Nvidia Control Panel that you can acces by right clicking on your desktop, after which you select "Adjust Image Settings with Preview" from the left side menu where you will have to select the middle option "Use the advanced 3D image settings" that's located below the preview window that will enable you to do the last and most important step in increasing your GPU performance.
Once again from the left side menu go to "Configure Surround, PhysX" there on the right hand side you will find "PhysX Settings" under which you will select your "discrete graphics card" from the drop down menu, where for example you might choose this (GeForce GTX 960).

Now in the menu on the left hand side go to "Manage 3D Settings", where I recommend using the "Program Settings" as you can choose diffrent options for each game.
To gain higher fps without losing on the image quality, I recommend changing only the settings listed below:

I use two of the 960 4gb, and use the fancy custom bridge just for an added touch. If you want a cool looking sli system with excellent all around 1080p performance at 60 fps with all settings at max, this is the way to go.

You really need to go all the way to 1070s and 1080 cards to get any significant improvement in 1080 p gaming. and you can forget about sli unless you want to drop 2 grand on cards. For 400 to 500 USD these cards are the mainstream really that are in reach of most users.

If you are thinking of buying 2 to SLI, I would look at a single 980, they would be around the same price, but the single 980 would use less power and have less heat, but if you already have a 960 and only want to spend the cost of a 960 it could be a good choice, you graph looks wrong, you have the single card having a higher FPS under highest rates then the SLI cards ???

to be honest the only thing i saw was that running dual gpu only makes the framerate more unstable in the game. it make it better but it will make it unstable and unpredictable and you might aswell get a 970 or a 980 or 980ti
