These 7940/7840HS chips with RDNA3 are truly fantastic and performing. It is only sad to see ASUS and other notebook AIB's not designing a proper non-dGPU version with these 7940/7840HS, with a beefy enough cooling solution capable of cooling an 80W package.
Regretfully most AIB either choose the U thin and light route, with cooling to match such ~30W package, or they go full dGPU combination and you pay the premium. No middle ground. Sad.

I was hoping you would review one of these ETA. I got one at Microcenter two weeks ago and for the price it's crazy how powerful this new Ryzen 9 A17 is. It's also a monster for emulating and it's really lightweight for a 17 inch. It's been kicking ass during my testing as well. I HDMI it over to my 4K Samsung and it's beautiful to emulate on the tv with.

Personally I'd be interested in seing the performance of the APU with the dGPU turned completely off, specially for emulation. It' might be interesting to see what other cheaper laptops with the same APU will be able to do.

This seems like really well rounded laptop with a lot of good features. Wi-Fi 6. As audio file it has high res audio deck which is awesome. It's a full keyboard and a low power 1080p. I refresh rate monitor. Looks like a really reasonably cost laptop. That'll be good for at least 4 to 5 years

1080p display is perfect for a gaming laptop especially with 120 hz and above.

10:05 it shows render resolution of 83%, thats not a real testing of 1080p when You are up-scaling it from 1600x896

I use Ryzen 9 and 780M Vivo Book for my Dj software. It runs incredibly stable. Came with 16g Ram and there’s no need to upgrade. My best laptop so far. Huge difference in comparison to my Ryzen 7 laptop. Ps, I’m not a gamer. But this review is great and cool laptop.

I'm still looking forward to a high-end AMD advantage laptop with maybe the 7600 XT GPU. That way I could take full advantage of the AMD hardware suite, light, smart access memory, smart shift, power technology, etc

Just bought the TUF A15 with the 7940HS 4Ghz and RTX 4070 8GB. Will be upgrading to 32GB of DDR5 and 1TB WD Black.
Should blaze through everything on 1080p 100fps+ on ULTRA for at least 2 years!

I have the 2023 A17 with the Ryzen 7 and a 4060 on the way. 16gb ram, 1tb ssd. I got it for 1399$ I hope thats a good deal and that it performs well
