Great video.

Seems to work okay. All features can be easily duplicated on your smartphone with GPS and google earths tag feature. Got mine [backtrack] free by redeeming credit card points so i'm not complaining. I guess its a great back up to my smartphone or vice versa.

This would work well for the way I hike. I usually use my complex GPS system simply to get to my "favorite" spot and to get back to my car. And that's it.

A cheap cellphone can give you maps satellite, terrain and unlimited locations, but both can work if you are in area outside of cell tower range. The phone would have to download area map from Google in advance, and then just use GPS signals. Alcatel Ideal Att Go Phone is $20 at Walgreens.
