"Disrupt" right at the start is a really good clue where this goes.

Practical applications in real world economy, makes all electric phase in, improbable with mandated dictations to private companies.

They are still fixated on range anxiety.
That's not the problem. Charge time is the problem.

Give the people a small to mid size car with q 150 mile range, that can charge from zero to 100% in 10 minutes, 20 minutes at the
And poof, range anxiety doesn't exist.

Who cares if an EV can go 600 miles. If it needs 8 to 12 hours to charge, it's nothing but a city commute couch.
Might as well save your wasted money and ride a bicycle, or take a bus or trolley.
By a motorcycle. 150 miles of range on average. Takes 10 minutes or less to fill up. Saves a ton of money.
And is actually better for the environment.
Just wait till everyone is charging an EV all night and day with their ridiculous carbon neutral agenda.
There will be more carbon than ever pumped into the atmosphere.
Where do you peeps think all that electricity is gonna come from?
Solar panels? Wind farms?
Yeah, kerp dreaming.
It'll come from hydroplants, gas generators. Coal, and Nuclear.

Oh, what about about cold fusion.
Uh
Keep dreaming. None of their carbon neutral solutions will be up to scale in less than 50 years.
But lets crash the world economy right now.

It's yet another feels good political agenda that has no brain power behind it.

But go ahead and argue anyway.

Researching multiple fuel types and producing vehicles to run on them is a sound plan. Relying on just one technology is a recipe for troubles. There are many different needs for vehicle capabilities and efficiencies that should be met by manufacturers. EVs are not the be all end all solution.

The "secret fuel" sounds like "I have a girlfriend but you can't meet her because she is in college".

Toyota can whine all they want but economics and markets move they way they want regardless of what anyone wants.
That even means the EVs may have some real hurdles but so far they are the reasonable choice for a reduced carbon footprint.
The whining about EVs is becasue we are in the early days of the technology. VCRs were invented in the 1960's but only became economically practical in the '70's.
Digital cameras were invented in the early 70s but became practical in the late 90s.
The same is true with EVs.

So we will be dependent on China for Electric supplies. If you think about that, if war ever breaks out, nobody can go anywhere. Not a good idea and l love the the other toyota ideas. You cannot depend on one technology.

Toyota has squandered its lead in electrification that it gained via hybrids. It's too late for hydrogen and ammonia on infrastructure grounds alone. Toyota needs to produce some compelling BEVs asap, leveraging its core advantages of reliability, practicality and affordability.

This talk of carbon neutrality makes me want to put on my Trump hat, fire up my diesel, and roll coal.

😂 EVs are crap and will crash the power grid before its over. One should look elsewhere for the answer. For me, I don't want one, can't afford one, and don't believe there safe or they will ever be able to compete with normal vehicles.

Clickbait. Toyota just has nothing to compete against EVs, so they place FUD all over the place. Nothing new, they just missed the development after being leader in hybrid cars. Combustion engines are absolutely legacy and useless for personal vehicles, some get it faster, some need a little more time.
