Pythagoras says: a^2+b^2=c^2

A=1.
B=x
C=√10

1^2 + x^2 +(√10)^2
Suareroot of √10 =10

1 +x^2=10
X^2=10-1
X^2=9
Square both side
X=√9
X=3

a squared plus b squared equals c squared. we already know that a squared is 1. so now we just need to find out the square root of what added to one comes to ten, since we already have c squared figured out for us.

I’m all in favor of applying shorthand logic to these problems and forgoing the use of formulas and whatnot, but I wonder why A^2+B^2=C^2 can’t be used like 1^2+sqrt10^2=x^2 ▶️ 1+10=x^2 ▶️ 11=x^2 ▶️ x=sqrt11.

Its a 30/60/90 triangle anyway, cos is gonna be what youbmight wanna use, it has fixed values

1 x X^2 = 10

X^2 = 9

sqrt x^2 = sqrt(9)

x = 3

If u know the Pythagorean theorem you can just look for the number that would =10

The square root (sq rt) of 10 squared:

(10×10÷10=10)

ASVAB is not a military entrance exam. You can enter the military without taking the test.
