UN warns of dire humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan

Almost 19 million people in Afghanistan face food insecurity including some six million people who are at risk of famine while more than half the population required humanitarian assistance.
UN's Under Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs said this in a briefing to the Security Council.
