Moscow is a song about the daft optimism of being in love, when you just want to run away with that person, dream about being together forever, the house, the dog, and nothing else matters.

It has long been one of our favourite tracks -- and for us, it has more relevance now than ever.

We are lucky in Britain to have laws that mean whether we are gay, straight, bisexual or anything in between, our relationships are recognised and our rights protected by law. But in Russia there is an anti-gay crisis happening right now: their government does not want to afford their people those same rights and are trying to criminalise even the discussion of gay equality.

Something similar happened in Britain not long ago: Section 28, brought in by Thatcher's Tory party in the Eighties to stop teachers from talking about same-sex relationships in a positive way, was only repealed in 2003.

These laws only serve to protect intolerance, ignorance, homophobia and hate crimes.

In our video, two gay Russian soldiers kiss in front of the Kremlin -- yet just last month same a group of same-sex couples in Moscow were violently attacked and then arrested for doing just this.

Hey! I am Russian, I part of LGBT+ community.
I literally were raised with this song in my memory. For many years I remembered that the band from another world made a sond being supportive to us here. I finished school, university, lost my family because of my coming out, found love. I've been everywhere from Moscow to Vladivostok. A nice meaning of this song caprivated me always. But everything became too f*cked up recently, new laws and war left me with only sorrow and fear. Now when I listen to your song I feel sadness, hopeless as if all nice dreams were left in another life. Still, I like to think that there are places in the world where people can be themself and not be afraid.
I am still grateful for there were guys who supported us in 2013. I will endlessly thankful. Thank you, always.

Oh my god, it's such a beautiful little song that keeps me dancing all day long. I'm from Moscow, not long ago two girls were arrested in Saint Petersburgh for holding hands in metro, so the situation and attitude towards gays is pretty hostile here, in Russia. Hi from Moscow! I really love this song and I listen to it a lot during the winter. Talking about LGBT crisis in Russia, we still don't have laws to protect the community but it's getting better especially in Moscow. People's attitude to the community is getting better and there are many centers and organizations that help LGBT community and protect their rights
